Facing Felony Charges, Attorney Frank Kirk, Jr. Resigns Oklahoma Bar

Oklahoma City Attorney Frank KirkFrank Kirk, Jr., filed an official affidavit with the Oklahoma Supreme Court on July 8, 2014 requesting to resign his membership in the Oklahoma Bar Association and relinquish his rights to practice law. His resignation follows charges of preventing a witness from giving testimony and offering to engage in an act of lewdness filed in the Oklahoma County District Court. The court approved his resignation on July 15, 2014.

Fox Channel 25 in Oklahoma City reported in March, 2014 that Kirk had been arrested in the Oklahoma County jail during a sting operation. The allegations involved a female inmate whom Kirk allegedly offered to represent in exchange for sexual favors. The Fox 25 report said investigators discovered Kirk had only pretended to provide legal representation.
